What is the game of games?
So glad you asked! At first it may seem that The Game of Games is a collaborative, team-based approach to Fantasy College Football, where teams of friends compete against one another within an elaborate, four-stage point scoring system. But in reality, The Game of Games is a way of life. Imagine if a fantasy football team became self-aware through the singularity, formed warrior clans with other awakened teams, and established an intricate and complex culture based around a common reverence for valiant honor, clever ploys, and cold beers. That’s basically how the Game of Games began.
There are three teams of Gamers, representing the equally important cities of Atlanta, Georgia, New York City, and Richmond, Virginia. The Teams battle one another scoring points through fantasy picks and pick ‘em games during the regular season, and then take things TO ANOTHER LEVEL with three late season rounds of play: ‘Ship Week, The Draft of Drafts, and Playoffs!?. During the course of Gameplay and throughout the off season, Gamers participate in the Text of Texts-- a relentless group text characterized by brilliant insights (ie Wise Man WillBrown) and insane takes (ie Gamer Jerz). Gamers have their own lingo, and have developed an immunity to eye rolls from Ladies of the Games and Friends of Games alike. At the end of the season, the winning team earns the right to host the Game of Games Weekend, where the Gamers converge to celebrate the greatest sport in the world (American College Football) with some of the most committed bros in the world (other Gamers).
Why should you care about the Game of Games? Maybe you love College Football and feel that it is underrepresented in the inferior NFL culture propped up by fantasy gaming. Maybe you appreciate sports betting and this seems like a great cover for placing wagers. Maybe you’re just a big fan of elaborate and obnoxious inside jokes that are passed off as mainstream. But mostly, you should appreciate the Game of Games, because it’s the Ploy that Lived-- proof that if you commit to a bit hard enough, you can make anything a reality.
So raise a glass and join us as we say “Cheers Gentlemen and Cheers to the Game of Games!”
